The device uses the piezoelectric effect – a piezoelectric crystal built into the device starts to vibrate under the influence of the applied voltage. By controlling the voltage, we regulate the vibrations of the crystal, and this transfers the vibrations to the cutting tip, ensuring:
- great precision and smoothness of cutting – the ability to cut in various planes of various shapes, including holes
- small amount of bone filings produced
- performing treatments even in hard-to-reach places thanks to the small size of the tips
- selective cutting of hard tissue without damaging soft tissues, mucosa, gums and nerves, which significantly accelerates the healing process
- precise control of the operating field, knife cooling, reduction of heat generated during the procedure thanks to the irrigation device
